At Kennet Care, we understand just how important it is to support young people through the emotional and social challenges they face—especially in the digital age. One of the more difficult issues children and teenagers encounter today is cyberbullying. It can be isolating, confusing, and incredibly damaging to a young person’s wellbeing.
Recently, one of our community members shared a story that really stuck with us. After speaking with a parent whose child had been experiencing cyberbullying, they pointed them towards a helpful online resource: A Comprehensive Cyberbullying Guide for Parents. The guide offers practical advice, signs to watch out for, and steps to take when supporting a child who might be facing this kind of online abuse.
The parent later shared how much more confident they felt in being able to help their child after reading the guide. It gave them not only information, but reassurance—and that’s often what’s needed most.
We wanted to pass this resource on in the hope it might support other parents, carers, and professionals in our community. Whether you’re part of a child’s family or work alongside them in a support role, understanding how to identify, prevent, and respond to cyberbullying can make all the difference.
At Kennet Care, we’re committed to creating safe, nurturing environments—both offline and online—for the children in our care. Resources like this help us all do just that.
